About Me

Hey! I'm Samarth — a Computer Science student at the University of Guelph (expected April 2029) with a 3.7 GPA. I'm currently hunting for Summer 2026 co-op/internship roles in the GTA, specifically aiming for backend engineering, ML/AI, or full-stack development where I can ship high-impact features. I didn't get into CS just to write scripts—I got into it to build systems that actually bridge the gap between data and the real world. I learn best through intense, hands-on experimentation, whether that means building a custom C compiler from scratch or engineering a high-performance terminal dashboard for stock market data.
My technical foundation is driven by whatever tool gets the job done best. On the AI/ML side, I build with Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow (like when I built Synapse Sound, a neural network audio visualizer using Librosa). For web and full-stack, I reach for TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Flask. I'm also deeply comfortable with systems-level programming in C and Java.
When I'm not knocking out my daily LeetCode or planning my next side project, my life is a mix of high-intensity and high-focus. I train in MMA (which actually inspired me to build Corner Coach, an AI computer vision tool for boxing analysis), and I'm an active day trader designing my own algorithmic trading strategies.
On the creative side, I love producing and editing videos for youtube (5.6k subs)using Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Blender. I believe the best engineers aren't just technically skilled—they draw inspiration from their diverse obsessions.
