Hello World

Welcome to my personal website. This is the first post on my new portfolio site, and this section just talks about what I'm doing in terms of projects and learning. I plan to update once a month or a major milestone :)

Why another portfolio?

I've been meaning to build a proper personal site for a while, but couldnt get the right style. But I have now created something that actually reflects how I think about software. Something I'd be proud to send to a recruiter or a fellow developer.

This site is built with Next.js 15, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with a Catppuccin color system that supports multiple flavors and accent colors. The whole thing is statically generated and deploys on Vercel.

What's next?

I'll be posting about my projects, things I learn in my CS courses at Guelph, and the occasional deep-dive into something I find interesting. Topics you might see:

• AI/ML: Training CNNs, working with PyTorch, audio signal processing
• Systems: Multi-threading, OS concepts, C programming patterns
• Web Dev: Next.js patterns, TypeScript tips, React architecture
• Co-op search: Honest takes on the internship hunt process
